Description

The initial influence for these images came from the Dutch still life painters of the seventeenth century and the traditions of memento mori but then I decided to add my own parameters: it would be in black and white; it would contain as few elements as possible, and it would use negative space.

Sometimes the things that we own have a longer lifespan than we do. These images are from a life that was lost, they remind us that everything is temporary and special.
